While switching trains at Seibu Shinjuku Station today, I spotted this poster for Ultraman the Ride at Seibuen Amusement Park. Looks like fun -- maybe I'll actually ride it someday!

I love seeing the advertisements for the Godzilla- and Ultraman-themed rides at Seibuen, which is always an added bonus I pass through the station.

Ultraman Along the Seibu Shinjuku Line!

While using the Seibu Shinjuku Line today, I photographed some Ultraman-related signage for Seibuen Amusement Park in Seibu-Shinjuku Station. Too bad the Seibu Line phone app stamp rally (see the photo below) ends tomorrow -- I really wanted to collect some digital stamps!

Ultraman and Godzilla Team Up at Seibuen!

Earlier today, I was out and about on the Seibu Shinjuku Line and saw this poster hanging in not one but two train stations -- namely Seibu Shinjuku Station and Nogata Station. 

As you can see, Ultraman has finally joined the fun at the Seibuen amusement park. Ultraman and Godzilla really ought to make one heck of a tag team.

Would you believe I've still never been to Seibuen? I guess I should try to go there sometime!

Godzilla the Mission on the Seibu Shinjuku Line!

While on the Seibu Shinjuku Line earlier today (Sunday, February 26), I saw this advertisement for Godzilla the Mission, the first one I've seen in the wild. I still haven't even gone on Godzilla the Ride, which I suppose I ought to do sometime in the near future.

CCP Pops Up in Seibu Shinjuku Station!

While using Seibu Shinjuku Station today, I passed by this pop-up shop with some interesting figures for sale, particularly Ultraman and Hedorah. The CCP Figure Shop will be there from December 1 until January 15, so collectors still have plenty of time to empty their wallets if they so wish. Here's what I saw.

 

Ride the Doraemon Express!

While riding the Seibu Shinjuku Line yesterday, the train I was on was completely decked out with a Doraemon theme. While some trains around Tokyo have specific themes, it was the first time for me to see a Doraemon one. 

Although I don't follow Doraemon or his antics, I actually found the whole thing pretty fun. And, despite my headline, this was not an express train. But it sounds good as a title.

I always enjoy encountering these kinds of surprises, even when I may not be so familiar with the character or franchise. This was certainly an example of that!

While riding the Seibu Shinjuku Line, I noticed some advertisements for Godzilla the Ride at the Seibuen amusement park. 

 I snapped the requisite photos and -- voila! -- here they are.
